We are seeking a highly skilled Product Designer – Pharmaceuticals to lead the design and development of innovative pharmaceutical products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory, and manufacturing, to create safe, effective, and user-friendly pharmaceutical products. The ideal candidate has a strong background in pharmaceutical formulation, packaging design, and human-centered product innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, Health Canada, EMA, etc.).
- Collaborate with R&D teams to create effective drug formulations and optimize delivery systems.
- Develop packaging designs that enhance user experience, safety, and product stability.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and scalability of product designs.
- Improve existing pharmaceutical products by enhancing usability, dosage accuracy, and patient adherence.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Create prototypes and conduct testing to validate product functionality and user-friendliness.
- Document product design specifications and communicate with stakeholders throughout the development process.
- Utilize software and design tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent) for technical drawings and product modeling.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical product design, packaging development, or formulation science.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulations (FDA, GMP, ISO, Health Canada) and safety requirements.
